LOL LOL LOL...Ok. I`ll keep hope that someone will develop something smaller... Have you seen the size of some of the waterchillers on XS? The temps arent worth losing a room for! Yet the temps can be matched with much smaller setups.
Most people when they start building something like that they lose a room to building it anyway so they dont mind lol.
Waterchillers arent my cup of tea, i always thought if you are going to go for cooling, get lower temps with full phase change, not adding another step in the cooling process. The ones that keep the temp just about ambient to avoid condensation are clever, but i dont mind the sacrifice of insulation.
Well the chillers I am making at the mo can be set so they dont go below dew point ie so no worries about condensation they can be set via a controler what I may look at doing is water cooling a first stage then refrigerant second stage see how it goes lol either that or just pull my finger out when I get back from hols and build a cascade
Even more impossible with a whole PC, capacitors etc like the cold even less than CPUs, i think they start to give out once you get down to about -60C.
I would love to have a HVAC qualification, I know somwhere I can get a large supply of liquid, the only problem its at far to high a pressure. The condensor is something else. Its driven by a F111 fighter jet engine.
fatty am i right in thinking you dont need to use dialectric grease a seal string with chilly 1's head and mounting system as from what i ahve seen on xs his mounting system seams better and more simple than nventiv's!!!
AM i right or wrong, i am going by this thread on xs http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=56966&page=1&pp=25 doesn't show seal string or dialectric grease, and the moutning system looks very easy to use, maybe ill get phase chnage and use a chilly 1 head and use his mounting system, the mounting of teh head has always scared me off phase chnage for how complicated it is but this looks simple with chilly 1's head as i know u use it fatty
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning HVAC or NVQ2 in Air conditioning and refrigeration or just plain AC Engineer I just say hvac as most people know what it means
Philip you are correct you dont have to use seal string or dialectic grease I do find the mach2 mounting very easy also I am still using the rear mount with my chilly1 unit ie the heaterpad etc also I use a little dialetic grease in the socket and seal string around the socket just to be sure I know it works fine as I leave my pc on overnight when I memtest etc
