its special stuff I use at work for refrigeration not sure of the make I only get 12" lengths from italy but I am sure its the same or simular to the swiftech stuff mine is 1/2" :)

That is sweet dude... Big respect. Did you have to make any major changes to your Mach II or did it just fit in nicely under the shelf... ie could this be done by myself? Or is it just possible for Gods such as yourself hehe.

If you look at the pictures I have opened the bottom tray up fitted a chilly1 head a de superheat coil and shortened the suction tube

People can do this themselves if they are HVAC engineers or have a safle handeling of refrigerants certificate as it is illeagle to vent refrigerant etc £100,000 fine

...just for Gods like yourself then hehe :)

I was just wondering if you could say... take a Mach II, take off the casing and slide it into the bottom of the V2000... after removing the HDD trays etc...

Excuse my noobness lol :)

Y`know...over the last few months, I`ve figured figured out that the best computer builders/modders/overclockers are normally HVAC qualified... I used to think there was no formal qualification needed to be a high-end overclocker :) *tongue in cheek, but most should see my "point"* :)

I think all the best overclockers have HVAC qualified friends, AFAIK none of Macci, Opp or Fugger are HVAC qualified, they all have friends (chilly1, pcice etc) to build them cascades which they then use. Means they can focus on the tweaking hardware while someelse tweaks the cooling.

You can also use LN2 if you arent HVAC qualified, still gives the best possible temps, gotta watch that frost though.

DaGuv you can slip a mach2 into the base of a v2000 if you look for stocky's thread on here I think its in this section he placed one into the v2000 as well I think he just bent the suction line to suit so it is very possible I just basicaly modded mine because I could :)

LN2 and DICE need a license though...almost as bad. i`d love to figure out a way to use one of them in a 24/7 rig that would rock :)

Is there absolutely no way to have it in a closed-loop system and cool the vapors back to liquid (LN) and reuse it? Thats what I was aiming at, but I`m very noob to LN and DICE..I know very little about either.

Well... I`ve said it before....Ya gotta pay for quality :) Anyway... for the interest it would generate and the other people who would want one, it would eventually work out :)

Companies like Stirling already make things like this. Trust me you dont even want to start with these things, they are HUGE.

A 2 stage unit, giving temps down to 20k on the second stage has a few nice specs.

Power draw: 45kW

Start-up time: under 40mins

Total Weight: 1.8 tonnes

Schematic:

Trust me, it is WAAAAY easier to just get some LN2 and throw it in a tube.
