The start of a new project of mine. Im building a pc inside a desk, with two quad radiators, parts from an old Antec1200 and mutch more. The desk will be hand made by me, and out of wood, and on top of the desk, i will use a reinforced glass plate. This will be the new home for the 2011 socket or Ivy Bridge (-E). The theme will be black, blue and gold.

This project will take a while, but i will keep it updated as fast as i can. There are parts i havent recieved yet, but i can start to paint my newely recieved lian li hdd bays, cut the Antec 1200 to pieces and i will go and buy the wood and glass really soon. Already got one of the quad radiators (xspc RX480 Extreme Performance),one pump with resoirvoir(mcp655-b + xspc acrylic resourvoir and i also have 5 Xigmatek fans 140mm and 8 SilenX ixtrema 120mm fans. I am exited too. Been thinking about this for 2 years now. If the oc3d uploader were working i could share some pictures already. Contacted administrator, so i will wait and see what he says.

Tomorrow i will begin sanding down SilenX fans. They will get same gold coat as the hdd bays.

HDD bays are done. Primed and 3-4 coats of gold paint. I am really happy with the result, because they look like they been painted by professional/industrial.

Fan modds are next up.

Yeah that gold looks really good !

Just make sure you don't use to much gold in the rig otherwise it will lose it's power.

Gonna try and not overdo it. HDD, some fans, waterblock will be gold painted. I am curiouse how the blue will look in this project. Thinking about blue tubing and some blue sleeved cables. Oh well if im not happy by the end result i will redo whole mod next summer :-)

That looks immense mate, keep up the good work.

Cheers T. Gonna look for my hearing protection today and cut some in my Antec 1200.

I love these fans. They are expencive but move alot of air and silent at same time. 14dba and 72cfm (SilenX ixtrema 120mm)

Rubbed down, primed and now first thin coat of gold.

Original looks.
