You can get a Russian Steam key for £17.50 but you have to download a 4gb English patch and activate it with a Russian VPN, all free of charge though.

This is where I got mine from, took about an hour after paying to receive my key.

Just seen the walk through. Once you get to the Activation part, in the VPN, do you have to download it entirely through the Russian VPN?

I did the same with BF3, got it for £13.

If you know anyone who bought the English version save you downloading the English files just copy the files that it shows you on the website from a mates copy and put them where the guide shows you,

EDIT: then just remove the Russian files. <----------- don't do this.

just read somewhere that says not to remove the Russian files or else Steam will download them again, so that is what the 6gb steam has been downloading all day is

I downloaded them overnight last night, the same with the game, so I don't know how long it takes tbh.

If you download a program called Jdownloader

http://jdownloader.org/

And when Jdownloader is open if you copy the link (as if you were going to copy and paste but you don't need to do the paste just the copy part) for each part, it will open it in Jdownloader and it will automatically start the download for each one if you highlight them all and press download.

You may need to enter a captcha before it starts downloading for each file though, I didn't have to but sometimes it asks you for the captcha and sometimes it doesn't, it's a bit of a hit and miss thing.
