mushkin ram/asus problem

I have a 6 gb mushkin blackline and a i7 960 on a asus sabertooth. After I replaced my d14's broken bolt and started the comp the bios only detected 2 gb ram while cpu-z detected all 6.I tried a single module, mixing and matching them but only 2 gb is being detected.I updated the bios and the mainboard restarts around 4-5 times before actually switching on, but the bios still shows 2 gb of ram while cpu-z says otherwise. What could be the problem? Any hep would be appreciated 'cause this is the first time I have encountered this problem and would like to learn a bit about it.

Is this a Ram problem,a mainboard issue, cpu socket pin issue or the DIMM slot issue?

Cheers.

The problem has been found. The horizontal bases of two pins were minutely bent(magnifying glass) while the actual pins were standing tall.My luck is so awesome that of all the ground pins lying around it had to be the ones incharge of memory controller.Well I have given it to the asus service centre and will get a replacement in this week.
