To confirm we have had testers confirm our findings with Mayhem's Aurora and we happy to say that at normal running temps Aurora and Aurora + is +2c / +3C above water.

There has been no visible signs of clogging and no visible signs of brake downs.

Aurora as of Monday 12/09/2011 has now moved into production stage.

Thank you goes out to

Gilgamesh and VileLasagna and the two other testers (whom are under NDA, you know who you are)

tom thank you for letting me have this thread on OC3D

sry mate we need a retest of that gnome approval me thinks that wasnt a gnome but a dwarf tryin to yank ur chain about being a gnome. Now if'n ya got the travelosity gnome involved then I'd trust it to be gnome approved. Otherwise I'll have to keep a watchful eye on my gnomes to make sure they stay clear of it

lol @ sin ...

How many times can some one swear in less than 30 seconds. The 10 w ddc i just got isnt the correct one for the 18w upgrade its the older style which cannot be modded to run at 18w ... So now i need a bloody 18w DDC (ARRRRRRRRRR). And i just seen the 18w is back in Stock on ST ARRRRRRRRRRR ........

As for the XSPC duel bay single DDC res it failed on the 10w DDC. There is a dead spot on the right hand side of the res and the DDC 10w doesn't create enough flow for the pearl to be moved around. I don't need to run this test for a week because i can see it happening. So its a fail on that. I doubt if the 18w DDC will make a difference as its a flaw in the res it self. If the inlet valve was on one side and the out let valve was on the other it would create much better flow and the water would circulate more. the way its designed all so doesn't help bleeding as the tube of the inlet points directly over the out let and doesn't really give bubble the chance to escape.

The XSPC duel DDC and D5 double hight res version should be perfectly fine though as they will not have the big gap on the right hand side so negate this problems of dead water (low flowing water)....

Think i need to design my own res.....

Im going to poll all my results and close this tread off soon as im now finished testing the Aurora and Aurora . I need to poll all the info together and give a clear picture of what works and what doesn't.

There is defiantly one use for aurora and that's it can show flaws in water cooling products.

sounds like a brilliant idea mate its so scattered its hard to see it all plus easy to miss as well.

p.s. I sent ya a pm a few days ago did ya see it??

I think ive had my head up my ass a lot lately mate. All this no sleep, lots of testing and some new things going out to testers and all that lol...

no sweat bro I can totally relate been the same round here as well. work had projected a small drop in subscribership here but instead of the small drop we had a enormous growth lol we been pulling double mandatory OT for the last 4 months to stay on top of it lol.

Yayryuken.

Not looking forward to filling my two loops. Also a quick question. What is a good size of tubing for it. I was thinking 1/2x3/4. Is that ok

Cheers dude i shall be scoring two colours of your fine liquid. Being new to the custom scene is there any sort of storage guide for leftover liquid

keep it in the bottle in a dark cool dry place. Once opened it will only last about 1 year to 1 1/2 Years
