Now that CPC have published the overclocking feature I am now able to post pics of my current set-up - Codename Blue Dark (coz it looks blue in the dark :p ).

Mav many moons ago I had a similar set up and I burnt out two drives

Racking them like that next to each other with out sufficient air gap between

They just over heated and gave up the ghost

With the drives having a the Akasa 120mm fan in front (pulling the air across the drives) and 2x80mm silentX blue LED fans pushing cool air onto them they are pretty cool (and blue in the dark lol) - appreciate the heads up though.

So when you getting your MM ??

Sometime after the new MSI Motherboard (Expert for sale shortly), the G71's and FX60 nothing wrong with what I have right now and performance over looks every time for me mate - with the house move and all the things connected with that I can only afford to invest in performance parts for the first half of this year - still something for the future, waiting to see how yours and scorchios turn out first ;).

Looks very nice Mav, is that sound proofing material you've got in the bottom of the case there?

Yep the mouse matts help relieve the vibration on the laminate flooring and as much as I'd like to say it's a quiet system - it isn't, but it's good enough to hold telephone conversations next to it.

When it's not fully overclocked I can run fans at 1200rpm (front) and 1600rpm (rear) which is better and keep the compressor cool enough to not worry about overheating - not bad for an R507 unit.

Impressively quite considering the number of fans. Have you got a pic more side on to get an overview of the internals?

Looking good as always Mav.

a nice build for an overclockers computer - although a little messy for my liking lol :p.

If I take the extra fans cooling the back of the GPU's and the 120mm chipset fan off and the ram cooling fans it looks pretty tidy (would have been even better if I had not had to replace one of SATA leads recently) - certainly without the xtra cooling I am more than proud of how tidy it looks (my most tidy to date).

The cowling at the back of the mach (so PC70 looks a better fit) was provided to me by Gollum when I purchased the case from him - reasonably simple but oh so effective.

The PCI-E tip is one of the reasons why I am purchasing an SLIx16 mobo for when my G71's arrive as I feel by then it will actually make a difference having to full speed PCI-E lanes for SLI (well deffo for fully overclocked beasties).

Cheers

Mav

PS: I was approached to be in the mag :)

One question which msi mobo you going after??

I know the 2 x 16 pcie will be better for the bigger cards as for the 256 cards doesn't make any difference

Nice :D, a proper overclocking rig!

Some more internal shots would be good Mav :)

PS: Let me know if no one takes your 4800, as I'll snatch it ;)

looking good mate. the case looks deep, is it definitely the same distance from the edge to the motherboard(depth) as mine? yours pc75 right, does the mobo sit deeper than the pc71???

I have not modded the motherboard mounting position in any way so it's lian li standard and should be identical to the PC6 and PC7 series cases in that respect.

Will post up some more internal shots shortly.
