Marshall Major?

So I came across the Marshall Major and I'm interested in it. I think the white ones look pretty good, but what concerns me is whether or not they'll suit my music. I read that they're good for rock, but I don't really listen to rock, only a little bit, I mostly listen to rap so I'm not sure how good they'll be for that. But considering it's Marshall the overall sound quality should be pretty good. I'm a small time audiophile so audio quality is important to me. (I got an Asus Xonar Essence STX and Sennheiser HD 595 headphones. Going to upgrade to some better headphones soon.)

Check out this site if you havent already.

Its to audiophiles what this site is to us.....computerphiles?

But yeah you will be able to get some good info there on what suits your musical tastes.

Ive got the 600 ohm Beyerdynamic dt 990s and the same soundcard as you and I couldnt be happier with the quality. I mainly listen to rock and classical so I dont know how they would perform with rap.

Believe it or not but rock is a lot harder on music equipment than rap is. Rap does have deeper bass but rock uses bass faster and more often. If they were designed for rock they will be good for rap as well unless you are looking for more of a muddy bass, then I would go with dr.dre.
