My heart is broken today. Marco Simoncelli the motogp rider passed away after a horrific crash involving colin edwards and valentino rossi. Did anyone else watch it.
Ive never seen a lowside before that actually turned back into the corner. Usual they jusy break traction and slide in a straight line its almost like the bike lowsided enough for him to lose control but not enough for the bike the properly crash. U always see the bike spinning up the track or the gravel traps it really was the most awful FREAK accident possible. I also think rossi will take it very hard on himself and could push him to exit his ducati contract into early retirement
yeah looked liked his leg got stuck and propped the bike up enough for the tyres to make contact, or he was trying to get back on the bike. tbh i dont have any remorse for rossi, if you look closely it was his impact that caused the helmet to fly off, then he rode away business as usual
No way dude. Did you not see he took his hand of the bar and held it up to his visor and shook his head. He knew. The two of them were great friends and rossi will take this hard.what could he do turn around against the other riders coming his way. He needed to leave the medical staff to do there job with no distractions/interuptions. I have so much remorse for him. There is no chance in hell he could have done anything about it he was on the inside about to overtake edwards when it happened. Even if he seen him coming he had nowhere to go. Marcos bike lowsided but then gripped the tarmac again thats what drapped him across the track. If you look at the pictures you will see that as he comes into frame his whole right side is sliding along the ground not just his knee or elbow slide his left arm was not on the bar amd his left leg was in the air. Yes the pictures to seem to show edwards colliding with his back and rossi hitting his head but edwards is innocent rossi is innocent most importantly marco was innocent. The final round is going to be an incredibly emotional thing
stfu go watch it again you cluless person .. nothing he could do would have stoped it happening he is distraught ...
simoncelli went down at the exit of turn 11, rossi doesnt even look back until just before the right hander at turn 13 which is 500m away only then he tips his visor. not saying rossi felt nothing but if I ran over someone id ditch the bike haul ass to him check for response, breathing i wouldnt be trying to get back on the track and ride off. just disappointed is all.
Oh really....
I was watching the race live with my motorcycle club mates, watched it to the end when 45mins later his condition was announced as critical, the race cancelled and the crowd boo'ed and jeered. I must have seen the replays from all different angles a thousand times and discussed it to exhaustion. Ive followed Rossi since his 500cc debut in 2000 and watched him win in sepang in 2008 from the main grandstand.
mine is the red/black r6 on the left taken last w/end before the phillip island race. post up your motorcycle lets see whos 'clueless'. beligerent fk

They aren't allowed to stop on the track they have to keep going, there are emergency medical units all over the track and all riders now this, them stopping is only going to cause more problems and delays.
Nothing anyone could have done could have changed anything anyway, Marco simoncelli crashed into them not the other way around.
Tragic accident though, R.I.P Marco simoncelli
