Right, I'm fed up of being skint! i'm on a crap wage and i dont spend much either. Just wondered if anyone had any LEGAL idea's to make a little spare cash on the internet. E.G. selling a service, product etc.

build pc and sell em

flog all your old gear/stuff u dont use for some quick cash;)

sell your body...:rollingla

you can also try and find products on the cheap and re sell them for more...

cheers.

Ebay mate. Start off with a little bit of cash, buy some stuff, sell it on at a bit of a profit - u know the drill.

Looking out for bargains on ebay (they are hard to find now but are still there) and then selling them on for that little bit extra. You ussually get a bargain on ebay when the item is not advertised well so people are wary. Buy it, advertise it well and watch the pennys roll in :D

Another none internet based thing is car washing or a paper round :boink:

Hyper :ar:

I am actually in the same dilemma. With it being the summer and all, there are a lot of people who think that I should be out looking for a summer job. While I think this is a good idea I recently came up with an idea. There were a few people who asked me if I could fix their computers because they had "viruses" and what not so I tinkered around and helped them out. They ended up giving me a nifty wad of cash $ so what I am thinking is to start my own small little business that deals with computer repairs, software installations and what not. I am going to put the business under my dads name and have him hire me as an employee. I know that there is money to be made because many people would rather take it to a computer shop and pay $120+ to have someone reformatt their computer. Of course I wouldn't charge this because I feel that is insane, but I think it would look great on a resume and be something to be proud of when asked what I did in the summer.

Although I haven't thought of anything for you to do online...(ebay buying and selling is a good one) You should think about doing something similar to me. There is money to be made :yumyum: $$$$

Would do this, but it would conflict with my current job contract. may have a new job though. find out today :) Which i would be able to do it then.

Are you a good looking lad? If so, perhaps a webcam/mic and nothing else other than females subscribing to your site ;) ROFLMAO

Sorry :( In all seriousness though mate, I think the Ebay suggestion XMS gave you is a great idea as it requires minimum outlay (dependent obviously on what you want to sell; or services to provide). glocktodahead's idea also had some merit; providing support services to end users out of warranty or with general maintenance/troubleshooting problems.

I second (well maybe third or fourth ;)) the eBay movement mate. eBay is like an e-goldmine with craploads of money to be made.

I'm sure you've heard the story of the kid that started with a red paperclip and ended up with a house? I mean yes, this is a very rare occurance but it just shows that it CAN be done.

I saw this thing on the telly the other week, and this guy started off with a paperclip, which he then traded for a pen, which he then traded for something, then kept on continuing, hes got a van and he's trying to trade it for a house.

Just thought I'd add that little bit in. I'm also always out of money, maybe its cause my mum makes me save 50% of my weekly earnings which is about $140, I actually get underpaid all the time, they think I don't check my payslips but I do. Tell me, does 23hrs in one week at $8.65 add up to $140 to you?

Smart Mother you have mate ;)

Well lemme show you something!

23 x $8.65 = $198.95 Gross wage (before tax)

Because you are employed as a casual, you get a slightly higher rate of pay but your tax bracket increases. Sooo........

198.95 - 140.00 = $58.95 difference (this is what you pay in tax)

198.95 / 58.95 = roughly a 1/3 or 33% (which is the correct tax you should be paying considering your casual employment status). Hence the reason you get $140 a week. This is your net take-home pay :)

Do you teach maths at school PV?

Have done mate; I'm qualified to do so up to pre-tertiary level (yr 11 & 12 or just before Uni level) . I actually teach adult literacy and numeracy as my main vocation :)
