MACH2GT problem with temperature probe

I realised that my Mach2GT display, when my computer is off, is showing lower than normal ambient temperature. It used to be 9 deg C ambient a month ago, no it shows 5 deg C. I'm pretty sure my room is much warmer than that . My worry is that when turned on, the temperature starts to lower from this point, so if it keeps drifting, I'll probably start to boot way too early. My GT is set up to switch the PC on at -35, but I guess the real temp is more around -15 now. Any idea on how to fix that?

correct. Slowy but surely. Give it a few weeks and what was -15 will probably be TOO SLOW.

OMG!!!!!

When the PC is on though, I got -62 displayed. And my CPU temp stays around -23 / -25. Does it make a difference?

Actually the display is bad at English and says "TO SLOW" (or at least mine did when it had a leak).

To me it doesn't sound like a leak. I'd say the sensors are always wacky and if it's still working then don't worry. I regularly start up the computer manually and force the mach 2 to kick in from room temperature to no ill effects. I may be wrong and it may be a leak though. It's just that mine was not at all a slow process - working one day, "TO SLOW" the next.

Thinking about it I've had a few units with dodgy controller boards lately - this in part is responsible for some way off reports, some of which were similar to yours. Have you tried to flash the firmware lately?

Hmm, no, haven't flashed firmware since I got this unit. Should I?

With a leak, I'd assume my temperatures would get higher rather than lower. I mean, -62 is relatively low for a basic GT and a 4800+ overclocked to 3 Ghz, don't you think? And -25 (read from MBM) is the kind of CPU temp I had since I assembled this machine. I feel like the probe range shifted a whole 10/15 deg to the left.

I'll try to reflash firmware just in case...

Yes reflash the firmware this may help if your actual cpu temps are still ok then it isn't a leak if they do start to climb then you have a problem

Well, firmware reflashed but no change.

CPU temp is constant around -25 as usual.

Prommy temp is showing -70. This is really weird

You say that your mach arrived with a leak, was that covered under the warrenty?

If the unit is under a year old and has original packaging and the leak isn't due to mis use then yes it is under warranty
