Lucid Virtu MVP, Does it Actually Work ?

So after taking a closer look at my mobo box i noticed one of the features was Lucid Virtu MVP.

Now I've had a play around with it and it just doesn't work, I've ran from the HDMI port on the mobo, From the card, everytime i run a game or benchmark they just crash.

So my question is this, Has anyone actually gotten this thing to work or is it another one of those paid extra's that doesn't actually work ?

Works very well.

All I can say is USER ERROR :p

Git... :P

Ok well I installed the Intel HD Driver and then the Virtu MVP driver, It works in the AvP DX11 benchmark, Boosts frames by a maHOOsive amount but thats the only game/bench it will work in.

What were you'r install/config steps Tom ?

VonBlade is the Z77 Guru here, Ill poke him this way but generally you just instal everything and it should work. You just run the display from the GPU and the rest just does its work.

Think I've got it working on mine. Idea of mine is to save power when not using the GPU, but have the GPU there for when I need it.

Added my application to the list, but when I choose I mode (the power saving one) its still running on onboard gpu (laggy, low fps) but if I tell it to run in D mode it uses the GPU.

Got It plugged into the onboard as required for imode.

It works really well for me, but you will need to use an nVidia (or ATI) WHQL driver released BEFORE the virtu mvp driver, eg: if you use MVP version 2.1.115a, released Aug 3rd, you will need to use nVidia 301 WHQL driver, released 22nd May, so roll back and turn off auto update until Lucid release a new driver

Turns out Lucid are not hosting the latest MVP driver, ASRock have MVP driver version 2.1.220 for download, just search for FM2A85X Extreme4 on the support page, I can confirm that this driver works well with the latest nVidia WHQL driver, I own a Sabertooth Z77, asus's latest offering is 2.1.114, Lucid's is 2.1.115a, why no-one but ASRock have this driver is beyond me.

Thanks bud, Installed but now when I play WoW *Yes I play WoW :P* Everything is mainly black BUT my FPS is a lot higher

That's a shame, no experience with WOW I'm afraid, perhaps you could try unchecking Hyperformance and just leave Virtual V-sync on, Hyperformance does bug a few games out, which I'm not too worried about, for me Virtual V-sync is the best thing about this app, and It works with almost all the games I've added, do your other games work OK? you could also try resetting MVP to default before making any changes, the game list has changed a bit since 115a
