Looking for a new full tower

As the title states, I'm looking for a new case for the build I'm gonna put together in about a month. Definitely needs to be full tower, would prefer it to have enough room to fully house a liquid cooling loop for cpu and 3 gpu's. I'm in the US, in case that makes any difference in case availability.

Hi there,

Have a looksie at the Coolermaster Atcs 840 or the cosmos s or the haf x or the nzxt phantom. Even look at some of the silverstone cases like the raven or the ft02 or even lian li. Honestly, there are a lot of choices it depends on u whether u want to go watercooling or wanna mod the case etc.

I already have a raven, what I'm looking for is a case capable of housing a 360 radiator internally.

Look at the Cooler Master HAF X, it's a massive case and will easily take a internal rad.

Just got mine the other day and it's amazing!

I was actually looking very closely at the HAF X. Could you possibly take a few good pictures of the inside of the case? Preferably the top? What I'm wanting is a case that requires as little modding as possible to stuff a radiator in it. So far all I've found is the 800D and the Lian Li PCA 77

A 360 rad will not be not be able to keep a CPU and 3 GPUs cool. You would need more radiator to cool 3 GPUs.

However look at the Haf X or the Cooler master Atcs 840 they are both real nice cases for water-cooling.

Sure, well it's not much to look as I'm waiting for my PSU, MB and CPU still

For me the water cooling pipe exits are great for holding the case lighting switch, perfect fit

Thank you a million for the pictures! Very helpful, although it doesn't look like the braces in the top are meant to hold a 360? Am I seeing that right? Is the other set of holes above the 5.25 inch bays?

NP mate..

I'm not experienced with water cooling, let me try and find a 360 rad size while I wait for you to reply.

Got a tape measure here

Edit:

Ok 400mm will fit it's just the case of which holes go where

Picture shows 400mm from the first screw holes which look like they're for a rad.

Tape measure isn't very accurate.

It looks like it'll just barely fit. The specs from XSPC show it as being 391mm long but I don't really see any way to mount it in the top of the case without having a bracket that goes inside your 5.25" cage, and of course that big fan would have to go. I'm currently looking at Lian Li PC-A77 case and mounting the radiator in the front of the case. Thanks for the pics and help though! Very much appreciated!

NP glad to help, my next step if I was you would be to post on a number of forums to see if people could get the 360 rad to fit in this case and/or which other ones

Hi Dirky,

Just found this info on overclockers forum:

Yes fits a 360 rad fine at the top

120/140mm on the exhaust

Pics in my buildlog in Sig. HAF X Custom Water, triple rad

That looks awesome, although I've since changed my mind, I'm going to go with air cooling, and the HAF X. Do you by chance know the fan pattern for the GPU duct that mounts on the drive cages? I've been told you can mount a fan in there to blow air directly on the gpu's. Thanks for all your help!

Yeah you can, and it's meant to reduce gfx temps quite a bit while keeping the CPU at same temp. I think you have to run quite a high air flow fan though.

Here's mine waiting for the i5 2500K + Gigabyte P67 UD4 on Monday:

Lian-Li A70F, will take a bit of modding but you can probably bolt on a 3x140 rad on the top 2 120mm rads in the back and maybe a 2x140mm in the front. If that can't keep your system cool, I don't know what will. You can also buy roofs with the grills if you don't want to mod as much.
