So originally when I got Into PC building was after I had piddled about with a Christmas present (basicpc) by upgrading the HDD then adding a jacked up gt440 which was okay apart from all the salotape I had used to keep it held together ( like a =00= )

Then I decided to make my own so to start my first part of the build

P.s. many case changes

Build part #1
Amd phenom x4 with 4gb ram and my 500gb HDD 750w psu inside a bitfenix prodigy itx
Later on I upgraded to a gt640 gpu loved it till I then found my mobo is atx rather than itx after it came and had that for a few months till that got swapped out for an i5 3330 CPU on a generic lga1155 mobo added another 4gb ram to make 8gb

Next in my long build is that i5 went into a build that i gave to my brother in place of my new i7 2700k and that got a bump from 8 to 12 GB ram as I bought a great 32gb ram kit and for what he needed I gave him a little extra.

As for where I stand now my specs are as follows

Core i7 2700k
24gb generic ram 1600mhz
1* 3tb WD green hdd
2* segate / WD 500gb hdd
1* 320gb segate hdd
1* 120gb Kingston ssdnow
Noctua nhd14
Lg blueray drive (misses has harry potter blueray collection)
Kfa2 gtx 770 ( currently having issues with my phantom gtx 970)
Powered by a evga 1000g PSU
All inside a xigmatek aquila

So what do you guys think of my build so far#

Nicely done you have done really well coming from a Phenom X4 to a 2700K, great solid core performance, I would say though the EVGA 1000 is a bit OTT for your build.
Never seen one of those Aquilas before they remind me of the Bitfenix Phenom M but with handles. Nice build though dude, you should get some pics up.

See for the PSU I was not to sure so I went with more to have room for a later date, will look at upping ram too although for now it is expensive for my budget lol

If im not mistaken, I think he is referring to that you don't need 24gb you should get either an 8gb or 16gb kit.

True true although I am meaning I had some spare that I did not want to leave out since I have a dedicated set of programs to use 8 gigs of that constantly
