Also, can I just say to everyone that played and also to everyone that has been training the past few weeks, well done! We really are coming on as a team and although progress might seem slow, we've really done well on sorting tactics on a number of maps.
I think we're quite well placed for ED now and my feelings on our tactical map knowledge are:
-D2: No problems, we know this well.
-Nuke: Pretty happy with this. We've got the tactics and just need to practice it some more.
-Mill / Fire: Both of these maps I'm pretty happy with and again we just need more games on them. Rotation on Mill is very good however.
-Train: I'm not 100% comfortable with this map. We have basic positions at CT but I'd like to work on how we play our "aggressive" rounds at CT.
-Cbble: Again, very basic tactics and we need to work on this map.
- Inferno: We seriously need preparation on this map. Again, basic positions are covered, but we lack depth in our CT positions, plus our T tactics need to be more aggressive.
Other maps like Prodigy / Aztec, etc aren't really played that much, but we can work on these or any other maps if the team wishes. I'm happy to get ED games on D2 / Nuke / Mill atm and will add Train to that pretty quickly. Cbble and Inferno need work, but once we have that sorted, we'll have a good core set of maps.
To be fair, our first few games in ED will be a walk over so tactics will not really get tested that much. Therefore, I'm quite happy to start with ED as soon as the site is ready. We can do a few open challenges and get a pack of wins on the board.
The final thing I will say is that I really do think this team can be very good! We won't be the UK's best (because we have a life lol) but I firmly believe that the potential is there to easily get into top ten of ED and also win some competitions / cups.
Well done lads!
