Lets not let Tom's Hardware take us without a fight.

They turned off ps3 folding a while back, they achieved the objective they set out to do on it I think. They didn't get much PPD anyway from what I remember.

At first they did, they had huge numbers. Later they adjusted the PPD down to under 1k so it became not worth it at all.

Thanks to all the new folders and team members that are helping the new folders, have been away for a few days so missed out on the helping part.

Also a big welcome to the new folders!!!:)

Think i've started again...lol but seems it wouldn't have carried my old points across anyway so a fresh start for me!

Let me see what I can sort out at work too...maybe

The overtake is imminent.

We have delayed them a nice chunk and I think we should be proud.

I folded at 100% capacity for as long as I could but that only ended up being between 4 and 5 days, after that the electricity consumption forced me to dial it back.

Since then I have just had a 7950 folding 24/7 at 1150mhz core, and will continue to do so as much as possible.

Just added another 7950 @1180 core to the fray, not enough to make much difference but we will keep trying....

Just looked and they have already passed us:(

With my p4 and my 5450 i could get 10 ppd  Once i get my arse in gear and find a job i will see about getting proper folding rig

Is this normal, I've been folding for about two weeks now just on my 7770 and have noticed it just keeps doing the same WU over and over, this doesn't seem like it should be a normal thing for this to happen am i right? i have uninstalled and re-installed twice but still the same thing is happening. the WU is 8900 if it helps.

Yes, that can be normal. Are you getting points when they get turned in? 8900 is a good WU btw. What kind of PPD are you seeing on a 7770?

Ah ok i will let it be then, and it is saying 16,509 atm but i do turn my pc off a night so that can't be very accurate, but i have done 11 WU and have 52211 points total and by looking at the other people around me on the OC3D team that's pretty good.

I tend to finish 1 WU a day and if it doesn't finish it's on like 90+ % so doesn't take very long the next day to finish.

:)

Oh and i forgot to mention before that the protein viewer isn't showing any graphics, it has the % bar and everything, but at the bottom left where it said's protein it is just stuck on loading, and will stay like that however long i leave it.
