Take Unreal Engine 4 Elemental Tech Demo for a Spin

This engine has so much potential. Its a real beaut and seems to be doing quite well in the ol' cpu department(as you'd expect from an engine with next gen console support). Obviously early days but I feel we'll get some excellent games over the next few years.

I'm going to fire up me ol' gts 450/i3 550 combo later on to see how well it runs. I have a feeling that unreal 4 is already better optimized than 3 ever was, in almost every way.

What games currently support the engine (or will support should I say), I saw one for PS4 before on IGN, I'll try find it. Not looked at it myself yet.

I just packaged up Elemental Demo from the editor to run it standalone and according to my catalyst both graphics cards are being utilised when the demo is running..

Pretty sure I'm not doing something right, but all of them give the "... stopped working" error. Any help please?

Downloading it now at the minute. I'll be intrigued to see how my old Phenom II 955 rig and its GTX 560 handles it.

Although the thing I'm most excited about with this engine is its Linux support. Hopefully it'll spell more big titles coming to Linux/SteamOS in the future.

bear in mind this ran pretty decently on a single 580... i'm VERY impressed.

I ran the elemental demo on the iGPU of the 4770K at 720P and it ran at about 25fps which considering it's only an iGPU is quite impressive for both the iGPU and the software :)

how did you get that from a igpu, my 780 at 1080p only managed a 37fps average

my cpu is at 4.4ghz and the 780 i haven't overclocked myself but i think gpu boost takes it to 120** . i think thats right anyway

So someone else overclocked it for you or there is no overclock ?
If your getting 1200MHZ straight out of the box boost then you got 1 hell of a golden chip.
