All of this is solely for LAN, started my job up again (I work at a family business so it's relaxed schedule) and sold a few old things of mine so I have spare and am willing to save up. I will also be doing minor AE and PS.

Should I go for this:

Or a laptop equivalent in price and near performance.

I kind of prefer a laptop if you can find one well enough.
 
definitely the latter, APU has nowhere near the grunt of the 3570 also consider the 3570K even if you choose not to overclock you might in the future or it will be more attractive to potential buyers in the future at least
also consider a 7870 LE like this best bang for buck atm
lastly look around for a cooler dont use stock :eek:

I'd say do something like this. A 240GB is big for a boot drive. I like WD better (less RMAs), and a fully modular PSU is nice.
