I was looking at the Korean 1440p monitor on ebay this week and wondering which one to get as I want to try and get into 1440p gaming with my gtx 670 but don't really have the extra cash to spend 500 pound on a monitor.

I know that not all of them come out working but I am planning on getting a perfect pixel version which are much more less likely to have dead pixels. Also the panels are made in the same factory as the apple cinema displays so they can't be all that bad even if they aren't up to apple high standards what is everyones opinion on the different makes; achieva shimian, yamakasi catleap and any others people know

I have a hazro and would advise against it. Sme say they have hdcp but don't. Mine said it did but doesn't. So I can't watch any of my purchased hd content which blows. It makes me want to try the asus 144hz monitor even though its 1080 tn panel. Be careful bud

They have pixel perfect models wich don't have dead pixels.
I'm also looking into getting one of the Korean monitors.
Saw a review on youtube about a 30inch model from Yamakasi with 1600p res.

There is slim chance you run into troubles, you can find a seller that will help you fix the monitor if you get any problems.
But there are alot of people who are really happy with purchasing these monitors.

I'm dissapointed in 27inch with 1080p ress it's too grainy wich looks annoying.

I've been watching alot of youtube reviews about these monitors:

I have an Achieva Shimian and I love it.
No dead pixels and no problems with it.
Total cost with taxes and import duties was €300.

I chose the Achieva over the Catleap because several people were complaining about the base of the Catleap not being very good.

The new catleaps use a new stand thats more standard to what other monitors use with a solid black base, the round glass style ones on the older versions were garbage from everything i saw.

The Q271 is the newer better revision, avoid the Q270's cause of the glass stand.

Im debating getting the version of the Q271 with hdmi (it works with hd tv receivers/game consoles ect) + has the pixel check before its sent out, comes to 300 GBP with postage so im hoping if i do get it i dont get bitch slapped with to much import tax on it.

Gonna necropost to say that I got a Qnix QX2710 today from this listing and I am really happy. No dead pixels, very little light bleeding, and the thing even overclocks like mad. I have mine at 96 Hz right now, I had it at 120 Hz before but it wasn't as stable. I'd definitely recommend checking these out, the picture quality is amazing for half the price of another 1440p monitor.
