Looks good kempez! :dribble:

Before anything else, buy some Isopropyl and paper towels, and CLEAN THOSE FINGERPRINTS! :eyes:

Yeah and then take it out in the garden for a proper photo shoot ;)

I don't have a garden :p

Yeah I'm gonna clean it up when it's 100% done and polish it too. Right now tho got quite a few things left to do

@Ham: fit X-Fi (inc cover whoever does that for me), fit my RAID array then dremel up some Alu for some more covering of stuff. Some more UV water dye and a few finishing touches. Looks like I have to remount the apogee as the temps aren't great too

Some people wanted to see what the NB looked like before I cleaned it up:

I used plenty of tissues at first as there was so much, then some TIM and a clean cloth when it got to reasonable levels.

I have been fiddling around with the OC and managed to get this @ 1.55v, not too bad imo.

The RAM's currently running 2T @ 400MHz, though I can get 1T @ 400MHz and also 500MHz @ 2T 4-5-4-15

3600Mhz gets a bit toasty so I backed off trying to get that stable @ around 1.63v

EDIT: More screenshots tomorrow

@ post #203 - I don't get it! 3.3ghz @ 1.55v, load temp of 50 deg C is... gulps... not that good! I only say this as when I ran 3.3 it was @ 1.45v, load temp low 40's - that was orthos/prime/sp32 etc stable...

I have since ran 3.5ghz @ 1.575 for 10hrs f@h (plus some gaming at the same time) with no probs, load temps of low 50's! (have a screenie to post at home ;)) However, this is not orthos/prime stable! Might go with this anyway...

3.6 @ same volts was stable for a few hours of f@h whilst gaming but crashed when playing a movie! Go figure! I didn't realise 1.6--v's could be needed/done!

Today i'm leaving it a 3.55, same volts (1.575) to f@h all day... guess we will see if it's still running when I get back, then I'll do a whole load of benchies etc and see if it crashes!

Noo, wait. I just remembered you just got the new mobo - I reckon you can defo lower those volts!

Mine is 100% Orthos (8hrs), Dual Prime (again 8hrs) and F@H stable @ 1.55v. No one CPU will OC the same and this is a very early Rev B core retail E6600 so it doesn't clock well.

I have tested this CPU on 6 different motherboards and it displays the same behaviour on each 1, though the DFI need 0.025v less than others.

I know what my chip can do thanks ;)

So thats what it feels like to be b*tch slapped lol :D

Mine is still not orthos/prime stable dammit!

Are you getting a phase then? Do it!

lol didn't mean it like that :p

Ye I will only consider it a stable OC when it's Dual Prime/Orthos stable, otherwise it crashes randomly and I may be doing somethng important.

I do want phase, but have run out of money now

That's not too bad of a chip mate, should really be able to unlock it quite a bit once you phase it up. Mine only did 3.6 stable on air as well.

Right then big bundle of stuff from our good friends at SpecialTech :D

get.php

I did manage to forget to ask them for Green UV Dye tho :(

Sexy carbon fibre - real carbon fibre

My X-Fi card had an IDE like wire but I had to make it better

Some more should be coming tomorrow - hopefully all i'll need then to finish is some green UV Dye.

Oh ye and my case now has wheels :D

Where did you manage to get the CF in the end kemp? Remember talking about this a fair while ago...

Right well I got the CF off of eBay. The bloke cuts it to size for you. High-quality automotive Carbon Fibre :)

Got the insides fairly sorted. Damn annoying that the nice short IDE cable ST got me wasn't quite long enough to fit  Still the lil green Sata cable was :)

The OCZ cooler didn't fit either due to the board having the RAM slots in a weird place. Getting tempted to use my 680i board in my main PC...

Here's the finished insides:

Not too bad imo.

Fitted wheels to the old girl and put the cathode switch out of the bottom of the case so I can turn em off easier:
