I've never felt so helpless/useless

sorry to hear about that PV, but its nice to see he looks happy. i think you dealt with it just as any of one of us would do. shame we can't all come and sign his cast :)

i'm sure he'll be fine :) hope he heals up soon mate

Aww poor guy. Did i read that right, some other kid pushed him off? If so, id be talking to the parents about that. If not, im sorry im an idiot lol. Kinda on pain pills myself and not understading things.

If it helps i cant drum for a few months and im limited to the things i can do. I was putting a 197lb iron forged transmission in my dads truck and i was trying to balance it to put the crank in the hole. Well the thing slipped from the jack and i tried keeping it up. It popped both my elbows out and landed on my chest knocking the breath outa me and rendering me unconcious. I was rushed to the emergency room and they had to put a needle in both elbows to take out fluids then pop my stuff back together. I couldnt be under any pain meds to do this. Also, i have a large puss sack growing under my left mouler that i cant get to. You can see it from the outside under my jaw and i can barely eat with it there.

But, im glad you hadndled it well and im glad to see he has a smile on his face. It seems your boy is very optimistic! I wish i could sign his cast though.

Don't remember writing that lol. Hope you get well soon...

PV how's wee man?

Just browsed through here, DAMN that sounded nasty, but hey, he's smiling in the pid bud so im sure things are going to work out cool.

Hope he gets well soon!!

Take it easy

Best wishes to your son and hope he recovers quickly and exacts revenge upon the evil git that caused it by threatening harm without warming so he is permanently scared to venture near your boy. May I also say try to get games and stuff that he will be able to do while in the cast as it really restricts movement.

Mguire I can only say pop the damn sack and rest easy mate. My father had a similar puss thing going on and the dentist was worried about it and told him to return in 2 weeks to have it remove properly. He is scared of the dentist so beer, needle and a good squeeze fixed that. All is well within his mouth now.

Transmission eh? Ouch. I had the whole rear end of my mx5 trap me during an oil change due to new road surface being soft the stands move and cascaded to knock others. 24" shoulders were compressed to my ride rear ride height of around 10" needless to say my collarbone went. The bad thing was that because it was displaced I wasn't allowed to move it at all for 6 weeks to allow swelling to subside then the could sort it out and i had to wait another 6 weeks for it to heal enough for me to be allowed to go back to work. 4 months down the line I was cleared to be allowed to lift things again.

Breaking bones sucks ass.

Hello all and thank you so much for the kind comments, support and well-wishes. Well the latest is that the last few days have been interesting to say the least - hence my absence from the forum. Dylan was having problem with getting enough circulation to his fingers (his hand was purple) which becomes an issue that may lead to tissue death or irreversible nerve damage to the hand or limb. Felicity and I have been quite distressed to say the least.

On the up-side, it now appears that Dylan is out of the woods and is doing well - something that will hopefully be confirmed by the specialist when he visits him tomorrow. Dylan is also happy because he gets to sport a new custom coloured cast on his arm. So thanks again for all your concern and support, it is really nice to see people empathetic towards other family's issues even though we've never met formally. You guys are the best <3 :)

Eek that mustve been a bit scary to say the least. I had to have a fibreglass cast re-done because it was affecting circulation. I thought it was no biggy until I saw the panic on the doctors face lol

As for the well wishing, dont mention it :) cant have our mini PV suffering can we. Boy if i was 13 years younger I'd give that other kid a piece of my mind!

Yeah it has been mate for sure. We're just glad that he's now officially on the mend now and life as we know it can get back to normal. You're welcome to come and give the family of the other child a dose if you care to :D Thanks again
