After the advice you all had given me and after searching a lot, I have found this monitor available to me - Should I go for this ? Does the specifications look ok for gaming ?

Yup thats a pretty badass display. These days its hard to go wrong with a CRT when it comes to gaming as they are all well suited for the task. If you've found one I wouldn't hesitate to pick it up. :beerchug:

IMHO, any monitor is good for gaming. I have a hard time seeing the diff between 2 mintors, except for size, and glossy screens. Just go for cheap.

Yup, that's what everyone says to me.

My current thesis is this.

If you get a shiny new monitor or TV, you think WOW! for about a week to maybe a month

Such is what happened when we went from crt to tft.

Then, you stop noticing it, and it becomes what is normal. Its just like graphics in games. I used to enjoy PS1 games, but now i ant play em cos i notice how bad the gfx are in comparison to 2nd or 3rd gen.

It's like a ratchet. You can go up, but you can never return.

I've had a look at a lot of monitors and have found that if you get a bad one, it's literally horrible to play on
