Is the 7800GTX 512 longer than the 256?

I've heard both ways... I first read that they're the same length and in photo's look pretty darn close. But I've also heard that the 512 is longer than the 256?

Does anyone have a direct photo comparison or experience with both cards? I need a solid answer on this one, thanks!

Ive looked at a few manufacturers pages but since the 512 is discontinued its hard to find spec sheets for em.

Size-wise, the card is identical to the older 7800GTX series.

Regardless the industry saga, the first thing you will notice about this card is its massive size. Then again, the card in actuality is the same size, but thanks to the heatsink, it’s one of the largest cards in the market currently
