Yes It pretty much supports the same things as vista and if not I guess theres compatability mode, never really needed to use it though.

p.s see my other post for the win 7 drivers for the gtx 295.
 
One thing you Win7'ers. Does punkbuster work okay? I remember adopting to Vista early on and regretting it as Punkbuster just wouldn't play ball.
 
Who's running 32 and who's running 64 bit? I am running 64 bit and not having any compatibility issues at all. Really impressed.

depends what you're doing and whether your fav software works yet

yes performance and responsiveness is increased slightly, but i can't use win7 24/7 yet because punkbuster kicks up api errors

i can't use my auzentech prelude in 7 yet because the mic stops working with more than 4gb installed (i've gone back to an xtrememusic for now)

and i hope that skype 3.8 is updated to work because i really don't like their 4.0 beta interface

lol, yes i know that (haven't been a noob for years), but it's not going to stop me from testing

a LOT of people are using the OS as their main install (i have mine on a spare drive)

thing is a lot of companies are releasing new builds of software to test compat. with 7

so support should be there a lot sooner than it was with vista
 
I just remembered... I should be recieving my OSless lappie by the end of the week :) Will be installing win7 on it, just have to make sure I back up all important files.
 
I was surprised to see how well EQ2 runs in 7.

Kinda funny I remember dropping over $1000 on a pair of 6800 Ultras to run in SLI and still not getting playable frame rates with the gfx settings pumped up to extreme detail. This single 4870 gives me perfectly playable frame rates at the same setting. Ah the revolution of GPU's. :)

im getting 2 raptors to raid 0 in the next couple of days

these will be my primary drives...

time to windows 7 it i reckon :D

i just hope to god that they provide a cheap license upgrade for vista users as it is basically like a vista service pack
 
Recommended to replace both xp on my laptop and vista x64 as my primary OS?

Runs all vista apps and drivers?

All games? run just as good or better? punkbuster?
