Is Avast just high? or should I be concerned?

I'm incredibly surprised that people that have an interest in computing and are supposedly tech savvy still think that they're superior to others because they use common sense to protect themselves.

If you want to leave the door to your PC unlocked that's fine, but don't encourage others with your stupidity.

I wouldn't call him stupid, quite the opposite in fact. It will encourage him to really learn how to a manually and painstakingly remove a virus over never getting it in the first place.

Alright guys my thread has been hijacked well enough.
We successfully established that I wasn't paying attention to the files location.
