Internet Disconnects Every Night At Midnight

Hello All

I am on crappy Plusnet Premier paying £21.99 a month and everything seems ok at the moment apart from 1 thing.

The problem is that every night at midnight my router disconnects and reconnects.

This is irritatating as if i am playing a game or on msn it signs me out.

Could this be something at my isp end?

probably, plusnet has been a bit weird lately, thats why im moving over to nildram asap.

chk ur details and get BT to check your line as well, otherwise try a 15 sec reboot of ur router (take out power for 15 secs then put it back on).

It's exactly the same with dialup here bloodthirst, after 4 hours they boot ya.

Also some ISP'c annot tell how long you have been connected/downloaded during a session untl the connection is reset. My isp used to do it at 3am every time. It's possible that it is to stop heavy dloaders. Does ur modem not auto-reconnect?

I know that my routers' DHCP leases expire by default at midnight, it might have something to do with that. See if you can find the option in the router or modem settings and set the lease time to several days instead of just 1 day, which is the default...
