Inexpensive replacement for HD4870

What's the 5 or 6 series equivalent to the 4870 performance-wise (and price wise)? I am looking to keep the same performance that the 4870 gives me but add Stream capability of the newer cards for an app that I am using. I don't want to spend a boat load on a new card because the 4870 honestly does everything and more than I ask of it. TIA.

anything over a 5770 i beleve will edge out a 4870

5770 performs slightly slower than the 4870. but its the closest to the 4870

wrong ones m8, the 6850 cards can be flashed, but you won't unlock any extra shaders

the 6950 cards can be unlocked to 6970's though and most run fine with the extra shaders and clockspeeds
