UPDATE: i replaced the fans on my H80 with noctua NF-P12's (dyed black) and hid all my drives to make room for my future pump and rad

Update: so I finally finished my assignment last night and popped the gtx570 in right away

Update: Sold my Phenom II and got a 2500K. Mobo looks pretty much the same (Gigabyte UD3), so everything looks somewhat the same (i like the all-black look). I also changed out the corsair low profile dimms for dominators. Decided to stick with the green cathodes for now until I begin my watercooling build log in a couple weeks which will use UV lighting for the coolant

Here are a few pics of the updated rig

Awesome rig mate, very clean on cable management and the green lighting finishes it off it nicely D

It looks very stealthy with the all black theme and the lighting is awesome too.

P.S. Love the little green figurine on top of the PSU

thanks guys! all the support is much appreciated!

kind sir

where did u get your cables if i may be so bold

I'm assuming you're talking about the black sleeved cables? I got them from a local store called "Canada Computers", but you can get them online as well
smile.gif
they're the Bitfenix Alchemy cables, LOVE THEM! totally worth it
biggrin.gif
(you can also get them directly from the Bitfenix homepage. just look under Products > Premium Modding > Alchemy Cables)

looks awesome but the blue pcb kinda ruins it for me, can you not get a backplate?

yeah that's the only complaint i have as well...I'm planning to get a backplate when I add water cooling and stick a nice water block on my card

I'm set on the EK-FC 6970 V2 water block and backplate...i just have to wait until May/June to start working again

Christ, I'm also planning on a very tidy 650D build myself, but this will be quite difficult to beat!

Very good indeed. Cable management doesn't get much better than this!

now if noctua had fans that looked like that I'd most likely buy them lol I tried taking mine apart on my old d14 but one busted in the process.

did your frame crack while trying to pop it out? mine did that and i simply just dyed whatever part of the frame came off, cause the parts that stuck to the motor were going to be hidden under the sticker anyways

. performance wasn't hindered, but i did a fairly good job krazy gluing it back together
