If I put it all together, will it work? (PC Build)

I promise to make this short and simple. My goal is to take the computer parts given to me from a friend (In lieu of money he owed me) and to build a pc out of them if possible. I haven't built a desktop since I was sixteen, so about nine years ago lol. I've just been tooling around with my Asus G74SX-DH71 the past two years which has been great, but I want something better or at least something with the option of being upgraded as I would like. This is the list of parts I recieved...

Case: Cooler Master Cosmos SE
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO (LGA 1155)
CPU: i73770K
GPU: 2x Asus GTX660-DC2O
Power Supply: Corsair HX850
Fans: 3 120mm JetFlo's

The rest I would have to get. I'm thinking about Corsair Vengence for the ram, probably two of the Corsair Neutron series 120gb ssd's and a 1tb WD Black Series since I already have that one. Speakers will be my old trusty Z-2300's and I have an Asus 24" IPS monitor as well. Anything else (optics, keyboard, etc.) I'm not worried about.

The only problem I have is does this build make sense, should I try to trade or sell anything for something more useful (all sealed in original packaging), and where do I buy some spiffy cables for everything!? While a lot has stayed the same I'm so out of the loop on everything that is out there now. Seriously the last thing I built had an Athlon 64 X2 3800+ when it was considered to be one of the best lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I think most people would want to no more about your intended use, gaming, photo editing, or something else. plus where are you based ?

Paul, he said using parts he got from his friend, so that's not so relevant.

OP, yes, that seems to be a fairly balanced buiild. As for cables, your PSU will come with your PSU, but you can opt for custom sleeve cables instead if you want it to look good.
