IDNET Max broadband

Spoke to simon today as regards to BT's Max products that should be available at 5300 exchanges by the end of the months. He said idnet "will be taking orders". does anyone know if we will be getting free upgrades?

I doubt we'd get it for £15 as the full price for MAX as it is advertised as £30.

But I have a proposition:

If we paid £18 per month for MAX but paid a whole year up-front then the total cost is £216.

Compared to a 'normal' person who paid a year up front - £330 (11x£30 as they would get a month free).

That's a saving of £114 to us.

At the moment we pay £15 per month (an a monthly basis) = £180 a year.

A 'normal' person pays £25 per month (on a monthly basis) = £300 a year.

That's a saving to us of £120 (more than the MAX on the price above, so is costing IDNet more).

So can we have MAX for £18 per month if we pay for 12 months in advance? It will be £6 cheaper for IDNet. :D

heh yeah. you want the moon on a stick you do :)

it shouldnt cost them anything to upgrade, all the hardware is already in place (bt's end, not sure about idnets end) and if they were to keep the cap the same.

But in theory we could be taking up loads of the bandwidth of their pipe - so mefinks it'll be more

I'll get it at cost if i HAVE to :)

I contacted IDNET and got this:

The only pricing we have for the MAX services at present are on the

website. We are reviewing our prices in line with the 31st march roll

out but cannot speculate at this time if any changes/ new prices will be

implemented.

As soon as any changes are introduces you will be informed.
