Finally got my rebuilt rig up and running with a Visco case and a Mach II.

*edit*

All the pics now hosted by Phil see posts below, thanks alot Phil:cool:

Comments welcome.

They are on my site but it has taken me 3 days (and nights) to get it up (the site!!!) as I'm a complete n00b at web sites:confused: and the forum would only let me post a few. If you can copy them from my site great, or do you want me to send you copies?

Just trying to put another one up of the Mach II as it's hidden under / in the desk.

Any help greatfully received:)

WOW! That looks cool! Such a great idea, hide the mach II out of view. It looks more discreet and who would know you've got a MONSTER overclocked CPU. GREAT! :)

Here are some more pics from the hosting Phil has very kindly provided

Please let me know what you think, comments and suggestions welcome.

The system is an AMD 3200XP running at 2411mhz, on a Gigabyte GA7NNXP board with 1.5G of Corsair 3200LLPRO memory (only half a gig at the moment as a stick died and is being replaced under warrenty), a Gigabyte 9800Pro graphics board and 560Gig of disk space(bit OTT but what the hell it fits). Oh, and two Lite-on 1633 DVD writers.

*Edit* Nearly forgot the important bit, temps are -50 head & -20 CPU at idle and -40 head & -13 CPU on 100% load (SETI crunching).

Thanks go to all the guys who posted on the forum their trials and problems with putting a prommie together, I read all the threads and learnt a lot. When I put mine together I checked and double checked every step with the experiences of you all and it went like a dream, so easy - fired up first time (except for the memory prob) and has been running ever since without a problem. Now for a A64.

Very nice, can see you put some thought and effort into that,I do love a well planned custom build.Excellent work, not too sure about the corsair led's though. That desktop between prommie and case allows the case side to be fitted without the pipe pressing against it,yes?,i've used a spacer to achieve same thing on my latest builds(pics soon).Phil, should i e-mail pics to you(once i've taken em) or wait till my new site is up and running,do you have plenty of space ?

No, the prommie is bolted to the case but I enlarged the cutout in the case from the specs suggested in the documentation, so it has more room to move away from the case side.

the desk is cut out there so the prommie and case slide in from the back, had to use the thickest MDF I could get to rebuild that part of the desk so it would take the weight. Nearly got a hernia moving it, it was sooooo heavy.

*edit*

If you look at the 3rd pic in the 2nd batch above (the one where it's not running) you can just see the top of the prommie case sticking up through the desk, this is so the front flap on the bottom of the case can open without touching the desk.

I have to say Night, thats an extremely great job u've done with that setup, i especially like the deskmounted Mach2 LCD and power button, awesome!

I think it looks superb! - really do like it.Like how the mach is below the desk - keeps everything neat and tidy. Might have to try something similar.

Great job man. I just love the LCD mod into the desk and the case. I love the simple look of cases, that case looks great.

Thanks guys for all the positive feedback, up to 825 hours now without a problem, running 24/7. I think that's a reasonable burn-in don't you?:D

Lovely job there m8. Just don't move house! You won't be needing that radiator on with that prommie warming yer toes :D

sw
It is a bit warm here, no frost on the windows of the computer room last night, this is the only room in the house without a radiator turned on.:D

It's nice to think your rig can help pay for itself;)
