i7 2600k still alive ?

Few months back I spilled half cup of tea through top vent of my CM HAF 912 case. Went straight onto video card and PSU below. My CPU (i7 2600k) was with Corsair H60 (Looks the same but in Asustek brand) and I don't think tea reached cpu. However could mobo fry cpu when I spilled tea ? Can I hope that my CPU is alive ?

Planning to order new system and buying it without cpu would save me alot of money.

The only way of knowing is putting the CPU in another setup, I guess.

Well, heres the thing. Is the computer now dead? XD

If it still works, its obviously alive still. However, if you spilled the tea on it, and the computers dead, there is a possibility that something fried the CPU. The only way to check would be to swap it into another system to see.
