I need a good long screw

Basically I bought a RAD off the Bay but it didn't come with any screws and I just need to know if these are the right ones before I go ahead and order them on Thursday.

The ones to go through the fan and into the RAD that is.

I'm assuming M4 x30mm means 30mm in length, right? Sorry if this is retarded but I don't know jack about screws.

Also does any one know what type and size screws I need for the RES mounts that hold the RES to the case?

Generally they are 6-32 screws which are smaller than M4 for my xspc rad I use 6-32 screw that are 30mm long

as fans are 25mm thick so you would need 30mm

If it's for mounting and not for fans then 30mm is too long 5mm should do it I believe that's only to hold the rad to the case though as fans are 25mm thick so you would need 30mm on both sides for push and pull

Thaks Firat.

I need 12 screws to go through some 25mm fans and the into the RAD so they would have to be 30mm at the least for that.

Are these the ones and where it says 31mm is that the length size?

what is your rad brand? just to be sure all i know is xspc and phobya use 6-32 screws so im assuming its the same for all.

31mm should be perfect as you dont what it too bee too long or youll damage the rad, 6mm after fan width should be perfect

It's an RX360. I just did a bit of Google foo and some people are using M4x30 screws and some are using the 6-32 that Firat recommended. Guess you can use both types then.

Thanks for the help guys

Just need to know what screws it is for the RES brackets now.

Are you doing push & pull ? if not then the res brackets would probebly use the same screw type but shorter as you - fan width so about 5mm ish

I'm not gonna do push pull strait away i'm getting three of the new Cougar Vortex PWM fans in push to try out, if they are any good then I might get another set for push and pull. I'm going to order 24 of the 31mm screws so I have enough if I decide to get another set for pull later on i'll also order some 12 x 5 or 6mm screws to screw the RAD in the roof.

It will be a while before I have it all set up anyway just waiting for the Cooler Master Cosmos 2 to come out but i'm getting all the stuff now so I have it all ready.

Water cooling kit will be

XSPC RX360, Laing DDC +1 Ultra 18w, 150mm EK multi position RES and a XSPC RASA and hopefully if Mayhems new Pastel range premix is out i'll be using some of that, don't know what color yet though. When the AMD 7xxx series comes out i'm thinking of getting 2x 7850s underwater and adding an extra 240mm RAD as well.

I got mine off Ebay, it's brand new but it didn't come with screws I only payed £60 for it so i'm not moaning, thats £30 off retail price and the screws will only cost me £2.
