I need a cheap cooler

I have a problem so ive got everything, cpu motherboard etc. So i need to get a i5 4670k to 4.0ghz and thats it but the trouble is that i hate the stock cooler, ive only got £20 so i need a cooler and saving isnt an option as i will not get money in a while so £20 is all i can spend on this.

My friend was in a similar position rocking a stock cooler on his i5 but he had quite a showy rig, 350D and 780 Lightning but even so only had a small budget and didn't need insane performance because his i5 is multiplier locked. We bought a Corsair A50 off ebay, won it with one bid because the backplate was missing. Ghetto'd it on with screws instead of standoffs and a backplate from something else and put on a Corsair SP120 and for sub £20 it looks amazing and performs epicly, it's basically always silent. It worked out really well because a hyper 212 would of clashed quite badly with his colour scheme and components. I'd echo that advice to you, there are often some bargain used BeQuiets, Corsairs or even Noctua's to be had.

the 212 is too expensive, i did this thread on ltt forums as well and they said get the raijintek themis which was cheaper and about the same in performance so ill probably get that

Where are you getting it from? Amazon?
Ahh I see, they've bumped up prices pretty much everywhere. in this case go for the CM Hyper T4

Raijintek AIDOS is very good cooler it's little bit cheaper than CM 212 and that little noisier. I have both models and temperature are the same. In fact CM is 1 degree colder.

Prices differ depending on where you live. Check the following:

Scythe Mugen 4 (SCMG-4000)
Hyper 212 Pro
Cooling Corator DS

They are roughly in a descending order by performance. Corator is a more effective cooler than 212 pro but it can have defects and has to be RMAd...
