i just download CSS from steam and when i open it error occrs

yeah when i got to play CSS download from steam i get an error message saying " cant find background image 'materials/console/background01.vtf'

Does the steam icon in the taskbar have 3 dots in it?

If it does its still downloading the content or updating it.

Alternately you can check the steam monitor.

If for some reason its messed up beyond repair, uninstall CSS and then try and run it from steam... this will redownload everything you need and get it ready for play.

You have to make sure you don't interrupt your computer while steam is updating or else it will fuck up.
