I just destroyed all logic

One of my HDDs only had 25MB/s write speed after a clear cmos, so i went to the bios and all my HDDs were set to AHCI. so i put them all to IDE. when i wanted to boot i got a bluescreen, i went back to the BIOS and set all back to AHCI, did the test again and now i suddenly have 90MB/s. i can't explain how that happend.

okay now i need help. the writespeed is varying so much. i just recorded and i saw that the recording fps would drop. so i quit recording and sure enough, the write speed was down at 50MB/s. i deleted the files and i was back at 90MB/s. that can't be normal, the file was about 50GB big.

now i raped all logic completely. i fixxed it by plugging the hdd in a different sata port. they are all sata 3 and all configured the same way. wot. the only idea i have is that the other sata port was too close to the gpu and heated up or something. no idea.

nope. only one controller and all support RAID.

Hmm faulty socket?

no freaking idea. i'm running the other hdd on that socket now and it has no problems. hm. well, who cares, it's fixxed. don't question it, else the PC gods might change their opinion :D

it ran fine for 2-3 hours, not it's spiking up and down again. i dont understand anymore.

Have you checked for a bios update for the SSD dude?

It could just be an incompatibility with your controller.

the ssd is doing fine, and the whole setup used to do fine until about 2 weeks ago.

i'm pretty sure i found the issue. it's called the FX-4100 tumor.
my problem is that my recording fps drop in bc2, but on a nearly empty server it works just fine. it also bottlenecks the 670 hard, it's only at 60% load when the server is full because the cpu is sweating, but i already knew that.
well, nothing i can do about it. i guess i sorta f***ed up the overclock, because before that it worked well.

Hmm maybe it's time to switch over to Intel then.

I did think the FX-4100 might have been a bit weak paired up with a 670.

i knew of the bottleneck before but it didnt affect my recording fps until now. it's really weird, it's steady at 30 fps, then it drops to 8 for no reason, and then goes back up. it's also a lot in the upper 20s. well, i'm waiting for haswell and then it's i7 time.

Have you installed drivers for your SATA controller within Windows?

Also as I said, check for firmware updates for the SSD.

Well done.
