I hate percision X Sync

So I have 2 GTX680s and one is a signature 2 and the other is a reference 680. When I click GPU sync in only syncs the bar offset not the actual core clock. So when I click sync they both run at the speed they came out of the box. What a joke!

I might be wrong here , but it seems kind of normal that they would sync at the lower speed of the 2 cards.

That's the thing, they aren't. I press sync and they both go to the default speed which is 0 and 0 on the offset. But because one is a superclocked out of the box, it's offset is different than the reference model.

Sorry I can't help , I don't know how to set up GPU's in sli.
I thought in order to do it correctly both cards had too be the same.

The same as in 550's or 660 ti's or 670's ext for nvidia speeds/maker/ect dont matter (ti and non ti dont work as they are techicaly different cards).

amd can do multiple aslong as the first 2 numbers match ie a 5850 and a 5870 or a 4850 and a 4890 or multiple 7950's ect

@op, try using MSI Afterburner and setting the sliders to the sig speeds, should set both cards at the same time on the 1 set of sliders.

I don't know why you're surprised? They are different cards with , i imagine, different bios' ?

Just set them up manually?

Have you considered flashing the vanilla card with the bios from the Signature 2? That's probably what I'd do.

This is the same as all other overclocking software for nvidia.

You can't sync your cards easily because evga has increased their base clock over the reference base clock.

EVGA should've been designing a proper cooler for the signature 2 instead, but w/e.

You can match them by un-syncing and boost the signature 2 by less.

I sometimes run my 680s at odd clocks and it makes no difference.

FYI SLi doesn't really suffer from unsync'd clocks.. You'll be fine pushing them both to whatever they can take and leaving them there, they don't have to match (at least not in my experience)
