How to store used watercooling parts?

Hi everyone,

I started watercooling several months ago, unfortunately now I unfortunately do not have the time to maintain my PC anymore. Which brings me to my question. How do you store used watercooling parts? As I would like to watercool again sometime in the future.

Thanks in advance to anyone who contributes

Thats what I thought originally, however I have read that some people experience oxidation and corrosion after storing them, even though they cleaned an dried the parts.

erm, you can get that with copper sometimes, but a quick vineger flush when you re-open it will probably sort it, personally I dry and air-seal stuff and cross my fingers :P

You cant really do anything about oxidation tbh. But as sub said a tooth brush and some vinegar normally sorts it

No worries fella, if you're really that bothered I guess you could put some kind of fluid in them and seal them.. but tbh, making sure they are properly dry and sealing em properly is the best bet.

I'll be honest I've not really kept around any fittings that might oxidise between uses, I either sell them on or they get binned. lol, in theory I guess you could put some kind of oil on them, (in the case of a waterblock) or put some coolant in them (in the case of a radiator say?) which you could later clean off. But it seems a little over the top to me. :)

Shame you're having to pack it all away? Not a nice feeling that.

I know, sometimes I just wish I could just leech off taxpayer money and live off that without working xD But yea horrible feeling having to pack you loop away (no more colorful PC).

Anyways thanks again for the advice, might five the loop a Final complete tear down and clean than seal it up air tight like was suggested.

Cheers!
