Hi guys. Apologies if this is in the wrong section (admins feel free to move accordingly)

Just setting up my new PC installing drivers etc.

I've installed AVG antivirus but after reading around a bit more i think im gonna go with either MSE or Avast instead. Now as all of you agree im sure i wanna keep my fresh system nice and neat for as long as possible so just wanted to know what you think is the best way to completely erase any trace of AVG from my system. I've heard CCleaner isn't great to use with SSD's (is this correct) so how would you guys do it.

as always

thanks in advance!!

download "driversweeper"

uninstall AVG

reboot into safe mode

run driversweeper

Remove AVG from 'Uninstall or change a program' from the control panel?

well obviously that but removing registry's etc. dont they stick around. like i said im just being anal coz it's my brand spanking new pc (i just lold for managing to use the word anal and spanking in a serious post)

Use Revo Uninstaller, uninstall using default avg uninstaller through revo and then run an advanced scan for leftover registry files.Simples.
