How do I remove filters Antec twelve hundred

Hi,

I have the Antec Twelve Hundred case. I had a local store put it together for me with picked out computer parts. The filters on the front are covered in dust/pet hair and I have never cleaned it. Looking at the front of it there seems to be no way to remove the cage in front of the filters.

I don't know much about putting together or taking apart the parts inside and worry about damaging it. Can anyone please help me figure out how to clean the filth off the front filters?

Thanks!

You have to remove both side panels and then unscrew the HD cages from the case. After that you can push the cages out towards you and you should see a flip up handle that is attatched to the filters allowing you to remove them.

Yeah that's right. The 902 uses the same system and it's a pita to clean :(

I am afraid so, its one of the few let downs of this case is that you have to remove both sides and 24 thumb screws just to clean the filters!

If I was you thou i would only put half the thumb screws back, leaving 4 per HDD cage as this will make things sleightly easier in 3-6 moths when u need to it again!, and does not effect the sturdieness of the hard drive cages

Yeah +1 on that, but don't lose the thumbscrews you left out cuz they can always come in handy :D
