Hmmm..I wish there were a way around the proxy here but everything that anyone tries is caught and I don't want to risk losing my only link to the outside world.

Theres two proxies there, both are in chinese but its pretty obvious were to put the URL.

You should do what me and ham did, pop the top, unplug the HD, try a load of bios keys (ours are bios-locked) and it will force it into bios, change the boot priority, whack in a DSL disc and youre off

Erm yah, I do, it's like swiss cheese. We had UT & CS running on Community Connect 3 for most of last school year (2004-5) so they went and got Securus. Now thats proper security. Try this, zip up the files you want to run, then extract them to c:\program files\<folder>\ and then create a shortcut in your documents, or on a usb drive, to the exe, and you can run it .

Edit : We were at the forefront of RM hacking... then we got banned .

I worked with RM CC3 for about 2 years, and thank god I was an admin, otherwise i think i would be doing similar. Anyhow, the only way I know round it is either a knoppix boot disc (tad obvious) or finding an admin pass out. They're a pain in the arse to work with, not just to use

ack, i was all up for sorting this out today, since im at work for about 11 hours!!

ive found out that the proxy/firewall has blocked *.hotmail.com

since the msn authorisation servers are messenger.hotmail.com and variations of this, i cannot connect this way.

i have tried using the ip addresses to connect rather than the domain, but the connection just times out.

I'm using Miranda IM btw. if anybody can think of anything else to try, pleeeasse help

a friend has a proxy on his network and i setup a proxy he could use it and go to sites that were blocked normaly.

i can remember in my college days, me and a mate sitting at the otherside of the room put winpopup on the machines. me being the idiot didnt didnt know his exact pc name, so i sent it to all. not knowing its what all the teachers use to communicate with each other. So they all heard me trying to chat up this reallly fit girl :S

I didnt pull, so wasnt really worth nearly getting chucked out of college.
