Hi there guys .

I am very upset to find that i can not get good temps off my CPU which is Q9550 rev.C1 .

I did not know about this untill the other day when i was looking round and found out that there are two models or maybe more of this chip E0 & C1 and E0 being the better one for temps and overclocking .

Which is top setup one would say .But even with this setup my chip is running at 50c + ,its not overclocked and all air is out of the system as i took my time and turned the pc evey which way know to man :D . so i no theres none there any more .But this is really starting to get on my **** . And because the CPU is running hot its making the gpu hot as well at 40c should be alot lower right ? ...

so if any one can give me any tips if i can make this betting temps please say .
 
No i am not doing any thing just in windows and its running that hot .And there is no processes running ever .I did tryed reseating the cpu to see but no joy there .
 
It will be an instalation problem dude, post some pictures of your loop for us to see.

Are you confident with your water block fittting and thermal paste application?
 
I would love to but i cant untill i post 15 posts or more .As i did try to .When i get to 15 then i will :D so keep posting then i can get to 15 faster :D

If the pump is running from a 12v feed and you have bled the air out the system it can only be the block mount.
 
Yeah how is had the TIM apllied and mounted. Tbh for it to be 50c idle Id be making sure the pump is running at full speed or moving the system around to get air out of the rad, air locks can make temps rocket.
 
I'm new to this kind of pump so i dont no if theres any way of making sure its on full speed other then looking in side the res to see ,

Is there any scews on it that let you set it up speeds on this .

I had res and pump all setup from shop when i got it ..

All so i did hear that the C1 chips are not so good on temps but saying that i have seen some really cool temps around the net on this chip like 35c so it seems alot for me to be getting this hot .i have tryed all kinds of things like reseating the chip .Tryed another compound and all was still same nothing seemed better then 50 + .

The GPU temps are fine, (pretty low) so I'd check the mounting of the cpu block. Did you correctly apply the thermal goop, have you tried lapping the block? Have you checked that the fans all spin up and that the cpu block is correctly inserted?
 
Its air in the rad or the pump, there is a blue wire on the pump, connect it to a fan header and that will give you the RPM (after a restart)
 
Ok guys thanks i will look to see if there is any more air and reseat the chip i check the blue wire ..

yes matey thats fine, while the rig is on tilt it back and forward do you hear any gurgling? like water & air moving about?
 
Hi

No i cant hear any there .I was turning it all way and so on ,And turn all fans off on the pc to see if i can hear better but still no i could not any air gurgling

.Very odd to be honest .Maybe its becasue of the C1 rev on the chip and i was unlucky ,

I just reseated the cpu with a super small drip of Arctic silver 5 .As the cpu is lapped like some one asked me before but i for got to reply to that sorry .

And all temps are still same ,

is there any scratches in the face of the cpu. It should be mirror finish nothing less.

AS5 takes up to 200hours to cure aswell, but it still shouldnt be 50c
