Hi Guys,

Looking to upgrade my little NAS unit as my current is now full, was considering either buying a brand new one or building one from the base up what would you guys do?

was going to use this as a base

Chenbro ES34069 Mini-ITX Home Server/NAS Chassis 120W

Think Intel Atom mobo and CPU currently looking for IDE support and 4 SATA-II ports

2GB DDR3 1333 SODIMM

Transcend IDE 40 Pin Vertical4GB Flash Module

then 4 2TB SATA-II HDD's

What do you guys think ?

Have you looked at the HP Proliant Microservers? I know there was a cash back offer on those.

http://www.dabs.com/products/hp-proliant-microserver-g7-n40l-nhp-eu-svr-7RMD.html?q=hp%20proliant&src=16

there not bad but doesn't support the quickest of RAM and it will not support hot swap drive's

think I have found the Mobo if I was going to home build one

Gigabyte GA-D525TUD

paired up with 2x 2GB Ultra Low Profile DDR3 1333MHz DIMM's should give me a boost to my performance.
