Hi, i was wondering what comments people have on the HIPER Type-R Modular PSU 580W.

Link

Or maybe a different recommendiation, throughy the same price :)

Firstly it`s Hiper, and I have to be fair, I trust Hiper somewatt personally.

2ndly it aint that bad a price, and being an OC3Der it`s even sexier.

2.5ly it peaks beyond 580, so u got some room to manouver.

3rdly would any1 tell me what they mean by type R ? B4 I find the obvious answer myself.

As posted many times before, I cant complain at all about anything on my Hiper 580W Modular PSU, it has been in my system for around 18 months now and I have no trouble what so ever.

Just a shame it didnt have quieter fans in

i love mine, been rock solid. looks sexy and the modular connectors are pretty stylish, although i know some people have had bad experiences with them :(

Rofl i have a very similar setup:

P4 3.0 @ 3.4 227 fsb

Abit IS7

1 gig Elixir ddr 400 @ 227 fsb

XFX 7800gs @ 440/1300

1 IDE 250gb

1 Sata 250gb

Akasa fan controller

3 x 120mm fans

Audigy 2

and a Hiper Type R 580w PSU!!!!

It powers my pc just fine :)

BTW the 7800gs's need around 20A on the 12V rail of your PSU and the Hiper seems to do the job just fine.

p.s. It comes in a nice box that u can keep little components, screws etc in. I am very happy with mine.

Ive found the Hiper Type-R to be a real winner. Its running my pc well.

Im running:

Asus P5W DH Deluxe i975x

E6400 OC'd to 3.00 Ghz per core @ 375 FSB

BFG 7900GTX

2Gb Supertalent OC'd to 750mhz @ 1:1 Ratio

I reccomended it to my mates. Three of us have it without problems :)

hehe I used to think I was special being the only one I knew with one of these hehe ahhh well Ive had mine since they launched and its been solid, my dad uses the black version while I have the blue fanned one.

I had one in my main rig for a long time (from release date in the US), then I put together a new system for my son and he really wanted it because it matched his color scheme, so now he's running it in his system...............;)
