Help With:Cable Broadband

What other company's supply cable broadband use to be with telewest but since virgin took over the connection has become like treacle with pings of 400 and the connection keeps dropping

what options do i have

there is no bt line and installation of a line would be around £170

i'd check your modem signal levels

and/or report a fault on the newsgroups http://www.virginmedia.com/toolsservices/newsgroups/

(cheaper than a 25p/min phonecall to India and u get UK support)

i posted (a while ago) in "virginmedia.support.broadband.cable" listing my modem levels and arranged an engineer visit who added an attenuator/conditioning filter as my upstream level was a little too high.
