Help - Urgent!

Recently i had just ordered a my components and built the computer earlier today and i think there is something wrong. My components are:

Case: Bitfenix Prodigy Black
PSU: Corsair CX500M Power Supply
Mobo: Gigabyte GA Z77N Wifi (Mini ITX)
CPU: Intel i7 3770k 3.50 GHz
CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i
Memory: Kingston HyperX Black 2x8GB 1600 MHz (16GB Total)
SSD: Corsair Force GS 128GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
Extras: Bitfenix Alchemy 3 pin x 3 Fan Adapter Extension and White Sata 6 GB/s Cable, Bitfenix Spectre Pro 230mm Fan and Samsung DVD ReWriter.

The problem is that everytime i switch the system on, it doesnt go to the splash screen or do anything. The only thing i have tested this with is via HDMI with my tv and i am not sure if that is the issue or if there is another issue?

Any suggestions are welcome.

try unplugging the hard drive(S) sometimes that causes issues, also try a vga monitor if you can, one stick of ram, the usual

ok thanks i will try that in a minute, except i cant use a vga monitor as the motherboard only supports dual HDMI and DVI.

Is there a Debug LED on your mobo ? If yes lock at the code and refer to your mobo manual to see what it is.
You can also try removing your dimm's and try them seperately in different memory slots.

Did you install your OS on your SSD ?

no i havent been able to do anything as nothing is displayed on the screen

Did you switch the input mode of your tv on HDMI ?

yes, i use the same hdmi that i would use for my ps3 on the same channel on my tv

Can you confirm that the PSU is powering on at all? You should be able to hear beeps or see lights on the motherboard which will indicate any major problems after that

Do you have a spare video card anywhere in your house? I had the same issue with a i3-3225 and an ASRock Z77E-ITX. I couldn't get anything to show up on the screen. It turns out that iGPU was not working on the board. Throwing a GT 630 in the build fixed all the issues.

yes everything turns on, all of the fans, lights etc.

Just as FTR said, try removing 1 ram module and using one at a time. This is just to rule out faulty hardware.

Have u tried to switch bios?

EDIT: Have u inserted the 4pin psu-power?

thanks for all help guys, turned out that all i needed was to plug it into a monitor, but i am still unsure why it didn't work with my TV, but none the less it is working now.

Just glad there wasnt anything wrong with the components as it would have been a completed pain to get them RMA'd as I don't live in the same country as the ones i ordered the components from.

Try your tv after the motherboard drivers are installed

yeh i will once i get my version of windows 8, it is just shipping to me now
