Help, need new Mother Board

Hi all Gurus.

I m a new comer and need ur help.

currrently i m using E4500 and original intel 945 gcnl.

but this mother board really sucks and i want to buy a new one.

my choice are

MSI p35 or MSi p31 cheipset mother board.

and i m gonna buy a XFX 9600 gt.

what do u guys suggest.

do u think that buying a new mother board will increase pc performance.

That 945 a ddr memory mobo ?

If so u'r p35/1 will need fresh ddr2 (which currently is stoopid cheap)

What performance increase u after ?

hi m8 and welcome to oc3d

i would be looking to buy a p5k motherboard if i was in ur position and 4gb ddr2 800 can be bought for £30 now

9600gt not bad but maybe better for you to but an 8800gt or gts as around the same price!!

hi,

Intel 945 gcnl support DDR2 667. and currently i m using 2 gb at 4-4-4-12 at 667.

this machine runs stable and even with xfx 7300 i played COD 4 with minimal settting.

but i want to over clock e4500 2.2 to 3.0 gz thats why i need a msi g31 or msi g33 mb.

what do u guys think????
