rofl... I just paid my rents $800 a month ago for some shit and I just pulled another $200 out of the bank today to give to em as well. Bleh. This is the worst part of the month, my Nextel bill and my laptop bill come in at the same time and taht dings me for about $250.

Too bad I don't even have that lappy anymore Still owe like $800 on it too, gah!

Just to tie this topic up... I didn't get any one of those monitors and decided to go with the Hyundai L90D+ 8ms... Fuckin best purchase I've ever made!

I'd rather get an LCD since I don't have a lot of room. I want a good monitor for gaming; I've been using a cheap laptop LCD so it doesn't have to be the absolute best. On the other hand, I read a review at Tom's Hardware that bascially said most 17" LCD's are junk, and CRT is a sure thing for gaming...

Acer makes a sturdy and inexpensive LCD, no two ways about it. If you're looking to save the room on your desk then I would say the Acer is a winner for ya.

My LCD tears up games, in fact I think they look much more vibrant and detailed than they did on my CRT at 1600x1200 and higher resolutions.

id say get the acer,

i still have a crt monitor i love it, that article on toms hardware must be old because the latest lcd's with 8ms response times are super sexy, and extremely worth it, and would perform very well in gaming

DO NOT GET THE SCEPTRE

I ordered one,a nd it had HORRIBLE ghosting...it was pretty bad. I researched it extensively, and apparently they had setup a scam where they relabled a 25ms monitor as the "Gamer" and the "Naga III" and sold them at higher prices. I will never buy one of their products again.

I got the dell 2005 fpw after returning the sceptre, and I can tell you t hat widescreen is seriously the best thing since....i dont know. But its damn sweet

Otherwise, the acer is supposedly real nice
