Head Of GT getting hot!!!

Alright Guys,

I've been doing some tweaking & fiddling !!! Anyway while fiddling inside my case today I noticed that one side of the GT head gets hot on one side & I mean hot!!! I used a digital termometer & got a reading of 51 Degree's ...

Is it normal for it to get hot?

its normal, mine gets hot too and the back plate is also very hot.

Indeed

the back plate gets hot due to the heater as well as the evaporator head...they both have heaters to prevent condensation...in addition to that dont forget the heat coming of the cpu and any mosfets located inside the hermetic shell

Energy is never lost, the prommie can shift up to 200W of heat, once its moved it off the CPU it doesnt just get *lost* it moves else where, i.e in a poorly vetilated case the hot air will stay in your case (which can be rather risky > especially if ure maxing out your motherboard) however if u have good air flow it pumps the ho air into your room and makes it summer 365 days a year in your room
