Thinking of buying the Old H60, as it is on sale, does anyone have an idea of what the temps would look like, i've been looking around and can't find a decent graph, anything to compare it too, i have a Stock intel Cooler on my i5 3570k @ 3.8Ghz, and doesn't hit 60+, if anyone has used an H60, can you help me if it's worth £40 ( which i can get it for) or can point me down another route.

Thanks
CSheldon!

I'd save up some more mate. Anything lower than the H80 isn't worth it from what i've seen. I'd save for a d14 or h80i/h100i :)

Thanks, i've just been looking at a cost effective cooler, I'm only running a stock atm, H100i seems better for the buck, as people would say..but to get maximum performance, i'd have to spend another £40-50 on fans also on top, if i want to get all the OC i can out of my 3570K.

get it only if you aren`t going to oc much and if you don`t have space in the case.i think anything from 30$ air cooler cools better.like stated above, anything under h80 is..meh

This is my rig, just let me know if there is any other options i could have to cool, from Air to actually Custom WC? I can save up some more money, and see what i can afford, also i would like to at least get an 4.2 if not a 4.4Ghz OC on my 3570K, but that could also depend on my "silicone lottery".

Thanks!

If your wanting to go to 4.4 ish then i'd say save for h100i or a d14 :) stock fans are good on the h100i from what ive heard (well better than the h100 ones).

If i got an H100i, i'd go all out, and get the SP Corsair Fans, and go push/pull, as my case would be able to support it.

i built a 3570k rig with a h60i and two sp120QE last weekend. 4.2ghz and it never hit 60°. i myself own an h60 with a noctua nf-p12 pwm, temps with my amd fx-4100 at 4.2ghz never exceed 45°C. there is only two things i dont like with the v1, the tubing and the pump tends to make noises on cold boot, you got to tap it a few times so it releases the airbubbles. else it's quiet.

If you just want a good cost effective cooler the Arctic cooling i30 is a VERY good cooler for the cost at around £30, the performance is similar to the performance of a h80 between the slow and medium presets while still being pretty quiet.

Only downside is it isnt the most pretty cooler.

I have looked at them, but not many people seem to review, which everyone should do! I'm just finding it quite difficult to find a sweet spot, People say go for the Corsair A50? Or coolermaster 212/412/612 series, Or save up for a AOI H100i, i've anything i might go for a coolermaster, or even buy the Xigmatek Dark Knight (As the Cooler is black) and use one of 120mm fans to make it push pull. (Same Fan).

i recommend the thermalright macho 120 or the true spirit 120 if you don`t have low profile ram.both cools better then h60.

the fans on the H80, H100 & H100i are about the best you can get as far a max performance. However they are bloody loud! I mean really loud. i can hear my H100 fans on max through the wall in the next room.
The question is, how quiet do you want it. Im running my 3570k at 4.7 @ 1.25v. it never goes above 80 degrees. The noise doesnt bother me as its my house and i game with a headset on so i cant hear it.

My point is the H100 & H100i are fantastic £ per degree of cooling when the fans are pushed hard. if you want quieter fans then they will need changing to yate loons or gentle typhoons to get decent performance at lower RPM's and quieter operation.

So thats your choice max performance but loud as fook or less performance but quieter.

i suppose it depends on what speed you want to OC to and how many volts its going to take to get there.

Thanks to explain that guys! I will have a search around, and make my mind up, and then let you know what i settled for!!

2 sets of fans is only going to give you 3~5 'C more performance over 1 set of fans dude.
